Our humble abode

Many people are unaware that Camp Lurecrest has some special facilities specifically dedicated to the maintenance and renovations of the grounds and buildings. Thus far the whereabouts and contents of these facilities have been a mystery to many, but we have decided to allow the general public a glimpse into our domain. This is our home, our corner of the mountain here at Lurecrest.

The Bunker...
legend has it that no tool returns from it...

The Shop... well... the "Office Formerly Known as Shop"... OFKAScomplete with outdoor covered deck for work projects... real nice

The legendary Burn Pile...

Well, these are our places of work, we alone know what goes in and out and even then we don't understand that much of the time. The Bunker and the OFKAS seemingly have minds and souls of their own. They are home nonetheless.

Welcome

Welcome to Camp Lurecrest Ministries... the maintenance website.

Camp Lurecrest is a ministry whose goal is to exalt Jesus Christ. We are a 58 acre facility in the mountains of Western North Carolina. During the summer we run children's week long camps with a staff of 80 young adults and 180 children attending each week. During the fall and spring we host men's, women's, youth group, high school, and college retreats. This year we have opened the Emmaus School of Biblical Studies here, a nine month bible school which uses the inductive method of study used by the ministry YWAM (Youth with a Mission).

Our job as the maintenance staff is to fix stuff... and we have fun doing it. So, this site is dedicated to all of our hard work... in attempts to share what is going on here at Camp Lurecrest throughout the winter, how we wish you could be here with us.
