Field Trip... Tires

Alright, so this morning the whole maintenance team got to go on a fieldtrip. Yep, we hauled off 62 tires in the black truck and decided that everyone had to be in on it.

The Destination for the first part of our two part field trip was the dump. We unloaded the tires into 53 foot trailer. It was like the longest trailer ever... and can hold an aweful lot of tires I bet. If you look closely you can see Drew down at the end inside of it stacking tires to the tip top. Onward to destination number two.

Ahhhh Lowes. We were in need of a few things from our favorite of stores so we made a quick stop by while we had the black truck and got some things. Today's list...

1/2 inch plywood for shudders... check

12 feet of 8 inch melamine shelving... check

1 windowed door... check

2 cans spray polyurethane... check

6 oil rubbed bronze doorstoppers... check

6 electric socket plates and 1 GFI/switch plate (white)... check

3 bags Ice-Melt salt... check

Not a big load but nonetheless a fun fieldtrip... and Drew came along too. He even asked Big Nate if he liked it here in North Carolina better than Wisconsin.

Nate is from Minnesota.

Snow?!!

Monday morning we awoke to a very chilly sunny day... and... to our surprise... SNOW!?
Snow is a welcome sight here at Lurecrest as it seems to make all the ugliness of winter go away. We have been pretty blessed though this year as we have been able to keep the grounds looking pretty well groomed and the nice warmer winter weather has helped make the days go by a bit easier. Hopefully we will have a blizzard or two here before the end of the winter that ya'll may see some pictures of a truly beautiful white wintery Lurecrest.
