Busy Day

Today we accomplished alot as we had quite a few visitors on our grounds. Jeremy White was here working with Tom on getting our Outdoor Adventure elements inspected. Paul Beem and Chuck Darnell (our electricians) also were here pulling down powerlines and taking out posts that are no longer necessary because we have been trying to bury lines recently. Here you see Jeremy strolling underneath Paul's truck which is making a bridge as they had some of the lines cut loose.

This is the one and only David Sargent, who happens to have been blessed to now be part of the maintenance crew as the ESBS students have moved work duties again. He has been attending the ESBS all year along with the other 5 students. David has been the Program Coordinator here for the past two summers and will be returning again this year to entertain us. You'll have a hard time finding a more sacrificing disciple, not to mention that he's probably the most funny and creative person you could ever meet. He helped us for a solid 3 hours today doing yard work as we managed to clean up most of the Camp Care memorial garden and mow all the lawns besides our two large fields which will get a run with the riding mower soon.
Here's Matt and Big Nate working on the yard at our off-campus house which has been named the "White" house. This is where Jeremy and his family stayed this past summer but will become the Pastor's house as they move into the Walled-Off for the coming summers. We blitzed their yard in about 30 mins and gave it a quick overhaul since David and Matt were helping us for the afternoon.
Today was quite successful as all of our OA elements passed their inspection, Paul and Chuck survived another day working together, and we got all the grass cut down. The camp is looking wonderful, we can't wait to see all the dogwoods fully in bloom, they're trying.

Somebody else

This is Bryan Norton. He is a bow-tie man. He also is one of the ESBS teachers here during the year. He has been here at camp for a long time, he's a "lifer" as many people here at camp would say. We love him, his wife Holly also is one of the teachers here with the ESBS and they have a 1 and a half year old daughter Ella with another child on the way.

This is Bryan retro style with a sweet fu-man-chu. We here at Lurecrestboys have realized that we have been giving Tom too much publicity lately so we thought we would show you some of the other staff here and some sweet pictures we have of them. Unfortunately this picture doesn't do justice to the grossness that this outfit actually was, but it gives you a good idea.

This is Bryan modeling his sweet green pumas that we like to make fun of him for. They're just... well... green with little spiky nubs on the bottom. The funny thing is that you can see his tracks all over the campground in the gravel. Bryan is a very stylish man, much more-so than either of us maintenance guys, and while we have a hard time understanding why the things he wears look good, we can accept the fact that they do. He also is clean shaven here, notice that he loses like 10 years without the beard. So yeah, this is Bryan Norton, our friend, the ESBS teacher.

Rainy Day Tom

Recently our friend Tom the bible school teacher has been helping us do some things here on the maintenance team. He helped us put up the tent and aslo helped us do some pressure washing one day while it was raining so we got some good pictures of him that we wanted to share... he looked so cool in his waterproofness.

The first day he helped us pressure wash it wasn't raining too hard so he simply rocked the waterproof apron.

The second day was a different story altogether thus requiring the full body bright yellow
pvc rainsuit... pretty cool really, makes you wish you could be up here with us doesn't it?
