Our beloved Cheyenne passed away. We don't know how else to say it but a few weeks ago our brother David Butts' best friend Cheyenne was tragically hit by a car. 
Cheyenne was an amazing friend to David as he had raised her for the last few years, she became his best friend through some tough winters in Colorado and then came with him here to Lurecrest. She became a fixture at camp as the other camp dog, giving Jesse a constant companion. Apparently it was God's time to take her away but our hearts grieve the loss. 
Here at Lurecrest we hope that you will rest in peace Cheyenne, we're so thankful for the blessing that you were. It can be so amazing to think on how faithful God is to show us His grace and mercy through the friends that He gives us, and Cheyenne was a special blessing to have here at Lurecrest. We will indeed miss her.
