This last weekend here at Lurecrest we were visited by some incredible women who have devoted many years to the ministry of the Gospel for us. From left to right.Theresa Monroe...
currently in charge of summer staff hiring, who for the last few years was the lakefront director. She has grown up here at camp, was a former "Miss Lurecrest" and has been blessed to see her three daughters grow up spending the majority of their summers hearing the good news of Christ here.
Beverly Forsyth...
has been long time friends with Theresa and worked here on staff when she was younger as well as recently by facilitating the craft shop, her "studio", for the past few years. Her husband Bill has been best friends with Theresa's husband Mike since they were in grade school and today live less than a block away from eachother. She has also been very fortunate to bring her
children up to camp summer after summer.
Angela Conklin...
has three children who have all grown up coming to camp and worked on staff as well. She has worked in the office here at camp during the summer as the secretary on and off for the last few years and was a camper here herself.
Robin Carter...
the youngest of the four she has been a constant blessing here at camp as she supplies the Infirmary every summer and works for a few weeks as the camp nurse. She used to live in Charlotte and get to spend more time with us but moved to Tennessee a few years ago so we don't get to see her too often during the year but she has been steadfast in her work through the summers, her two sons also have grown up at camp and worked on staff.
These four ladies have been such a blessing to so many staff and campers throughout the years that we had to get a picture of them and share our love for them. They are all so beautiful and kind, but their hearts are the most gorgeous things about them, for these four women truly have been seized by the power of a great affection. We love getting to see them and cannot wait until they are around more this summer, which they predictably will be.
